Hello! My name is Sri Vyshnavi Devi Kavali and I derive satisfaction from crafting practical solutions that find purpose in everyday life. My passions lie in problem-solving, web development, and AI/ML, & I strive to keep myself up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.
Fast-forward to today, and I’ve had the privilege of working at India's biggest Ecommerce-platform for a period of 2 months in consecutive years & as a web developer at my college.
When my fingers aren't dancing across the keyboard, you'll likely find me pedaling through landscapes, harmonizing with melodies, or conquering my adventurous aspirations.

Where I’ve Worked
Software Engineer 2 @ Uber
November 2024 - Present
- Part of the Hailables 3P team; led large-scale migrations of third-party micromobility and taxi partners to the Fulfillment Platform by mapping legacy state machines to a standardized lifecycle model.
- Built high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems supporting real-time matching with strict FIFO guarantees across hundreds of queues, utilizing Docstore, achieving ~100ms p99 latency at city and airport scale.
- Owned pricing and marketplace logic in highly regulated environments, delivering in-house fare calculation, VAT-compliant booking fees, and upfront pricing that generated $4M+ revenue in six months and improved conversion from ~35% to 60%+.
- Launched the first-ever product at Uber where drivers are charged the minimum of the upfront fare shown and the meter fare entered by the driver.
- Recognized as a top performer of the uear 2025 for execution and reliability across the Hailables org, delivering 500+ production changes in a span of year, leading incident mitigation and postmortems, improving observability, and mentoring engineers across teams.

5G Auth Using Blockchain
Built a decentralized application using web3, expressJs, html, css at the frontend and using solidity, ethereum private blockchain network at the backend. 5G Authentication happens at the backend based on the account address assigned and posts transactions in the blockchain if authentication succeeds. Authentication is made using milenage functions, implemented various attacks like spoofing, dos, and tampering attacks, proved the immutability of the framework.

Custom Search Engine
A web application is created that functions as a search engine primarily when it is used to look for domain-specific URLs. Almost 10,000 links were crawled, used elasticsearch api to store the filtered terms found in each link, md5 hashing was used to hash the content from the url that was stored in a database so that the hash could be used to determine if the information on a website had been updated.

Featured Project
Face Recognition Attendance System
Developed an entire full stack website where attendance can be tracked by facial recognition and for recognizing faces, open source library called faceapi.js. Features like search with filters, show analytics, and view attendance are also included in the website. Used ajax to communicate with servers to exchange variables between javascript and server to avoid reloading web-pages.

Other Noteworthy Projects
Code Editor
Created a code editor with frontend and backend support for compiling Python, C++, C, and Java. Integrated Judge0 API as the backend to execute code and provide results.
Compiler For Micro Language
Implementated a compiler for the MICRO language using Flex for the scanner and Bison for the parser. The compiler is written in C++. The grammar of the language can be found here.
P2P File Transfer Application
This is a peer-to-peer file sharing application where a manager broadcasts active peers in the network from which peers can request for the required files from the other peers in the network. Checkout the demo video here.
Soil Moisture Detection
Developed a soil moisture detection model using LSTM in deep learning. Secured 5th position in the PARSEC competition, the annual tech fest at IIT Dharwad.
Job Portal
Built a job portal with separate interfaces for companies and job seekers. Companies can post jobs, view their postings, and check profiles of applicants. Job seekers can view and apply to jobs with their profiles.
React Todo App
This is a web based todo application made in reactjs where user can note down the todos and has options like edit, delete, mark as complete.

- Selected as one of the 15 members for the prestigious Flipkart Runway Scholar program
- stood 5th, 6th in the Coderush competition conducted by Algo University in the years 2022 and 2023, respectively and also awarded as the best female coder
- Secured a rank of 2957 in google kickstart round-b 2022
- Selected for mentorship program under Amazon ML School
